The Sacredness Of Conscious Partnership
When we awaken to our true nature, the belief that there is something fundamentally wrong with us is dissolved and a whole new perspective on life is revealed. There is no longer the desire to fix or improve yourself on any level. There is a deep appreciation for life exactly as it is and the gratitude for everything that led you here is profound. This recognition can never be taken away from you, once you truly realize this on a cellular level. This means that your whole nervous system starts to change, not because it has been damaged or broken, but because all of the energy in your body-mind has been used to moving in a certain way. It has been operating from threat and fear because of that one, single belief ("I am not okay as I am") which is so deeply rooted that you can't know that it's just a belief until you see who you really are at the source. Once Consciousness has been recognized, it begins to illuminate every aspect of your life - literally transforming your fear based actions into the infinite love that is your very nature.
This affects and informs everyone you are in relationship with, especially those we are most intimate with. When two people come together in conscious partnership a true honoring of what is sacred and real becomes the focal point and foundation of the relationship. There is no longer the ability to tolerate the fake or ride over the discomfort.
This means that when you are not feeling met in the moment by your partner, you stay in that vulnerability and face yourself and therefore your partner completely. You begin to discern all the ways you shield yourself from that pain, and then you naturally begin to open your heart and share what's underneath the protection. It's just getting really honest with yourself and being willing to risk everything you know to be true for the sake of deeper intimacy with your own Self and therefore all your relations. To have a partner willing to do this with you is one of the most fulfilling things you may encounter in this life. When a couple is willing to put everything on the table and use the relationship as a sacred vehicle for awakening a new way of relating emerges. It includes more possibilities and is held with so much more compassion and love for one another's humanness.
I have been in this kind of relationship for over a decade now and have been to hell and back throughout it. For every dark place we have encountered together, light has always been revealed in the blood and guts of our relating and deeper intimacy, trust and connection is made possible between us. It is a whole new paradigm of relating where fear and threat are not in charge. Where love and possibility are worshiped and encouraged.
